A NEW CONCEPT OF A SHELTER FOR BATTERED WOMEN, Oranjehuis Almere, FARO architecten

09-07-2015

Following the ’Oranjehuis’ (Orange home) in Amsterdam there will come a second ‘Oranjehuis’ in Almere. The Blijf Groep, de Alliantie and the regions Flevoland and Gooi en Veststreek have signed the agreement recently to realise the ‘Oranjehuis’ in Almere.

The ‘Oranjehuis’ is a new concept of a shelter for battered women. A new solution for violence within the family. Women and children get the ability to stay for half a year while searching for a better situation.

The first ‘Oranjehuis’ is realised in Alkmaar. They are building the second Oranjehuis, designed by Faro, in Amsterdam at the moment. And we are glad to design also the third Oranjehuis in Almere. A thankfull contribution of the wellbeing of people.
