The discarded church at the Hooftstraat in Alphen aan den Rijn had not been in use as a church for almost 40 years. By transforming the church into an extraordinary extended-family home the building has been restored in order to remain a tactile memory of the past.

OLD SHED BECAME TRENDY OFFICE, LISSERBROEK
40.000 fruit trees are surrounding the premises of FARO. Work is been done among apples and pears, in the magnificent rural setting the office moved to from Delft in 1997. The former potato shed from 1930 was refurbished as a state-of-the-art workshop cum office, though retaining its original character and identity.
BRICK ARCHWAYS CONNECT LOCAL SHOPS, DEVENTER
FARO has renovated the shopping center in Borgele, a post-war district in Deventer. The project involved both renovating part of the existing shopping center as well as constructing new shops with 20 apartments above and 24 low-rise homes. A plan was also made for the design of the whole area.
