We try to fit parts of buildings, products or materials in a technological or biological cycle where they will form resources for new products or materials after their original use. This holds also true for whole buildings and urban plans. Our underlying philosophy is the cradle to cradle principle.
We can’t close all cycles yet. But we are very conscious about which materials we use where, when and why. Where does the material come from? How is it made and how is it processed? How can it be used for a next phase? Asking these questions again and again prevents us from hanging on to conventions and to become more durable.
