An integral research of the connection between green, types of landscape and types of housing in the Netherlands

FARO, H+N+S and Palmboom and van den Bout are performed an integral research focusing on the integration of green, types of landscapes and residential typologies in the Netherlands.

There were several reasons to undertake this research. First, the lack of a comprehensible guide book with good research on green, rural living environments. In practice it seems that architects and planners often use the same false references over and over again. Second reason is that the types of planning projects are shifting and the current relevance of rural living. This is the result of many social processes and planning developments. For instance, the question of the use of previously agricultural lands, combined with lagging investments in nature, green and water preservation. There is also a surplus of semi-urban residential environments and people these days are trying to find a special mix of living, living environment and landscape. This theme is very current.
