FARO architects redesigned a vacant little church along the Hooftstraat in Alphen aan den Rijn. This church will be an extended-family-house: 3 generations in 2 loft appartments. Each appartment has its own entrance and some shared spaces: garden, shed, workingroom and guest appartment.

Sustainable living comfort
The church will be completely restorated providing new foundation and some bad conditioned extensions will be moved. High isolation and energy sufficient installation will carry out low energy consumption. The most special is the partition of the residents: 2 seperated homes but living together. Ready for the new participating community. The outcome will be 2 unique lofts.
