12/06/2017 - Together with Podium voor Architectuur Haarlemmermeer, housing corporation Ymere, Joost Valk and four asylum status holders /designers FARO started a participatory design process. Within the design studio ‘(T)Huis voor spoedzoekers’ we investigate how we can create appropriate housing for swift home seekers: people who are in desperate need of housing. How can these dwellings contribute to social integration? How can the dwellings create a positive impact on the housing market? What are the wishes of swift home seekers and how can their knowledge enrich the Dutch architecture practice? The research focusses on an inventory of housing wishes, which can be used as a basis for future projects.

Last week the first results were presented to the different parties and to a number of swift home seek-ers. The results were subsequently discussed during workshops. The results will be further elaborated upon in the upcoming weeks. The final results will be presented during a festive final meeting on Wednesday, July 5.
